I was in the car with my ex boyfriend. we were on and off but i recently stopped talking to him in real life. in the dream he was bringing up my past and said remarks about him cheating on me. i thought about how different thinks are now then they used to be. we arrived at an event with my family. i was playing with the kids and he was just sitting in the corner staring at me with his evil eyes. all the sudden we were back at the car and he mentioned a bottle of pills called roach repellent and mentioned something about using it on the girls while he cheats. i felt jealous. why is he always talking about other women, i want to take them not the girls. i had the bottle in my hand and took 5 of them, my brain convinced myself that it was zoloft. until i realized i had taken roach repellent. my ex didn’t care though his expression didn’t change a bit. then a kid had clothes in her hand and i told her not to throw them over the balcony but she did anyway. i then felt angry and ran down the 4 sets of stairs and chased her in the big bed of grass. i never reached her and woke up. i was glad that the roach repellent wasn’t real but i wasnt surprised that my ex was like that because it was somewhat similar to how he is in real life.
Dreams are often a reflection of our subconscious thoughts and feelings and can be influenced by our emotions and experiences. Here's a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Presence of Your Ex-Boyfriend: Your ex-boyfriend's presence in the dream likely represents unresolved feelings or issues regarding the relationship. His actions in the dream—bringing up the past and mentioning infidelity—may symbolize lingering feelings of betrayal, hurt, or anger you might still be processing. The fact that you stopped talking to him in real life suggests that while you have made a conscious decision to move on, there may still be subconscious ties or emotions that need to be addressed.
The Event with Family: Being at an event with your family indicates a desire for comfort, support, and acceptance. Families in dreams often symbolize protection and reassurance. The presence of your ex in this family setting could suggest an internal conflict between wanting to move forward with your life and dealing with the emotional baggage from your past relationship.
His Evil Eyes: His glaring at you from the corner suggests a feeling of being judged or watched by him, possibly reflecting feelings of vulnerability or self-consciousness regarding his opinions or perceived judgments.
Roach Repellent and Pills: The mention of "roach repellent" as a disguise for something more harmful might symbolize your feelings about the toxicity or negativity associated with the relationship. Taking the pills in the dream but believing it to be something else could indicate a sense of self-deception or a struggle with confronting the full reality of your past relationship's impact on you.
Expressionless Reaction: His lack of reaction suggests a deep-seated belief that he lacks empathy or understanding for your feelings, mirroring perhaps how he behaved in real life.
Clothes and the Balcony: The act of a child throwing clothes over the balcony despite your warnings could symbolize feelings of losing control or being ignored. Clothes can represent identity or how you present yourself, and their loss might signify fears about maintaining stability or acceptance in your current life.
Chase and the Meadow: Running after the child and getting lost in a meadow symbolizes a pursuit of something elusive or unattainable. This could reflect feelings of frustration or helplessness in trying to reclaim something lost, such as confidence or peace of mind. The expansive grass suggests a vast, untamed territory of emotions or potential that's yet to be fully explored or understood.
This dream illustrates internal conflicts between moving forward and dealing with unresolved past issues. It shows a longing for stability and support, counterbalanced by frustrations and the need to face past pains honestly. Reflecting on these emotions in waking life—perhaps through journaling, conversations, or therapy—could aid in processing and healing, helping turn these complex feelings into a journey toward personal growth and self-discovery.
